Random updates

I had to document this because these two have been like cats and dogs lately, but look one day I walked into the room to find them watching TV like this. See they really like each other. Ashden had his first basketball game. He is a head taller then everyone, which should give him the advantage right? Ummm yes, yes it does, now if he can figure out the difference between offense and defense he will be awesome! He is a riot! He does great and has a lot of fun.

We have had a few snow days recently. I am not sure what to do when I have three kids at home, ALL at the same time, ALL day. So I put them to work. They were to shovel the drive way before they could come back inside. haha ya right hu. ( Notice that sexy van in the background!) ha ha ha!

Mayce got to go on a special daddy date tubing. She had the best time. She is such a daddy's girl!

I love her imagination. Behind this particular chair she has claimed this as her "hide out." She plays and stores lots of her toys there. When ever I can't find something she always tells me to go look in her "Hide out."

This is Cache in all his glory. I love the two month stage, He is ALL smiles. He is just the sweetest thing! Now if I can just get him to sleep through the night......

Crazy kids

I think Mayce is screaming for attention what do you think? Her world has been turned up side down since we had baby Cache. She has been in need of some extra love the last couple weeks. This is how she came out of her room one afternoon. Sweet baby Cache

Pink moustache and the unnamed

Some days surpass the spectacular. Take today in which I was the captivated spectator of an all-time epic sparkle pink moustache and the birth of a son.

Becka was in labor throughout the day and as a result of my continued insistence –you are doing great, let’s just see where this goes-the trip to the labor and delivery deck was held off. She finally could not take it any longer as the contractions were becoming more regular and painful so we headed over to the hospital to gain light of the situation. This all transpired at around six P.M. Soon after arrival, while I was entertaining the kids, I got a call from Becka with orders to hurry and take the kids to our friends house as it was about to go down. I raced to drop the kids off (thanks again Joe and Julia) then back to the hospital all the while navigating the unpredictable DC traffic patterns. Within 20 minutes of my return Becka and I were the proud parents of a beautiful baby boy. 20 and one quarter inches, 6 pounds 14 ounces, born at 6:55 on 26 Nov 2010. Becka and child are healthy and doing great and for now our son is going by his given Indian name which is Boy Without Name until a suitable alternative can be found.

FALL

I just always want to remember what he looks like with no front teeth. Goofy! love him!
Apple picking and fall soccer.... it doesn't get any better then that!
We ate like 10 apples a piece that day. They were sooo yummy.

Ashden has improved so much from last year, it has been SOO much fun watching him play.
He is really good!
"Attack the Pack" is what Mayce yells from the side lines. She is his biggest fan.
I love the FALL!

Mayce's Birthday

Mayce turned three today. She is so great. We just love her. She woke up at 3 am and found the phone and was trying to call grandma to tell her it was her birthday. I woke up to the sound of buttons being pressed on the phone. This was definately her day. After all "happy birthday" is her favorite song.
A Dora cake just as she requested
A princess butterfly?
She has wanted rain boots since she was one. She loves her boots.
All the goods
What a sweet girl!

Breakfest in bed. Isn't she hilarious?
Happy Birthday sweet girl!

Best Birthday EVER

I would have to say I think Ashden had a really great Birthday. This is how his birthday celebrations played out....
Ashden six years old
Breakfast in bed.
(He was up at 6:15 wanting to know where his breakfast was. What a stinker.)
He got a Lego/ Train table and loved it!
We let him open 2 presents in the morning and then he had to wait clear until dad got home from work to open the rest. Torture I know.
Buzz lightyear was a definite favorite.
For Ashden's birthday his Grandpa flew out here to be with him. I asked him if he wanted a party and he said no he just wanted to go to the zoo with his Grandpa.

The weather was perfect and he sure had a great time!

Two little monkeys!
What a great Grandpa. The kids absolutely ate him up!

I took cup cakes to Ashden's school and his class sang to him. He was very excited but got very embarrassed when they started singing to him.

We did a lot of playing at the park on his birthday.

He got to pick his favorite place to eat dinner and of course he chose teriyaki chicken at the mall. What a funny kid!

And to finish the day off he finally got to eat his cake, open the rest of his presents, and go to bed! He was exhausted but told me he had the best birthday ever! Happy Birthday Ash, I can't believe you are six!

We finished off a great couple days with Grandpa by celebrating another major victory. Me and Craig ran in the National Marathon in down town DC. One word to describe this event.... AWESOME! Thanks Craig for coming out. It meant the world to Ashden, Mayce can't get enough of Grandpa, Bennett enjoyed every second, and it was sooo nice to have my running partner back. We sure love ya!
